May 8th Top Player Prop Picks: Game 4 Insights and Betting Opportunities

We’re back with more top player prop picks from our player prop model. As always, our goal is to provide you with the best betting advice to make your sports experience even more exciting. These are the top plays selected by our staff from the Model’s play list to give a taste of what’s possible with SQ Bets data. Today, we have three standout picks for you from our model’s larger selection in both Game 4s taking place tonight. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter at @ShotQualityBets to be the first to see our favorite plays during the NBA playoffs.

Today’s Plays:

  1. Kevin Love: Over 8.5 Points
    • Edge: 8.49%
    • Price: +110

The Miami Heat face the New York Knicks in Game 4 tonight, and we like Kevin Love to go over the 8.5-point line. We’re projecting 9.61 points, giving us an 8.49% edge. Love was hampered by fouls in Game 3, but he was taking the right shots to reach 9 or more points. All we need are three shots from long range to cash this one.

  1. Anthony Davis: Under 25.5 Points
    • Edge: 8.04%
    • Price: -125

Anthony Davis has been a great under play for us throughout the playoffs. We project 22.07 points tonight, while his line is at 25.5. Davis has surpassed this line just three times in his last 10 games, but only twice in his shot quality score. He also had a very effective Game 3 against the Warriors and has yet to string together high-level efficiency performances in back-to-back games in the playoffs. AD would have to have a very high number of possessions or a very effective night to surpass this line in what could be a slower matchup.

  1. LeBron James: Under 26.5 Points
    • Edge: 5.32%
    • Price: -115

For LeBron, the argument is similar to Davis. LeBron has not gone above 26.5 points in any of his last seven games. He seems to be in the middle of the pack in terms of efficiency in the playoffs and appears happy to pass the ball to his teammates. LeBron had an SQ PPP %ILE in the bottom 20% in the first two games and then the 72nd %ILE in Game 3. Yet, in none of those games did he surpass 24 points. We will continue to trust the model and go under on LeBron’s point total.
